These eliminate the gap between the spring, spring cup, and collar. This makes it so you have more adjustability downwards, while still keeping contact with the spring. Without these or taller spring cups, your downward adjustment on the collar will have to be sacrificed in order to make constant contact with the spring. They come in 4 pieces per set.
